Your clients hire you for your eye. So your website has to show that eye from the first second. A generic template with cramped thumbnails and slow-loading photos does the opposite. It makes beautiful work look ordinary.
I'm Aldrian, an independent developer and designer in the Philippines. I build websites for architects, interior designers, landscape designers and design-and-build studios that put your projects front and center and still load fast.
What a design studio website needs
Projects first
Visitors come to see your work. The home page should lead with your strongest projects, and each project should have its own page with large images, a short story about the brief and the solution, the location, the type of space and, where relevant, the scope you handled.
A clear point of view
What kind of work do you do best? Modern tropical homes, minimalist condos, hospitality interiors, workplace fit-outs, heritage restoration? A short, honest statement of your approach helps the right clients recognize themselves, and helps the wrong ones move on politely.
Your process explained
Many clients have never hired an architect or designer. A simple explanation of your process, from consultation and concept through design development, documentation and construction or styling, sets expectations and makes the first call easier.
The people behind the work
Principal architects, designers and the team. Real photos and real credentials, including PRC licenses and professional affiliations where you choose to list them.
An inquiry form that qualifies leads
Project type, location, size, target timeline and a budget range if they're willing to share. It helps you focus on the projects that fit.
Design that respects your work
A studio website should feel like it was designed by someone who cares about details, because it reflects on you. I pay attention to:
- Generous white space so images breathe
- Typography that feels considered, not default
- Large, sharp images that are still optimized for speed
- Calm motion that adds polish without distracting from the work
- A consistent grid so the portfolio looks curated, not cluttered
Big images without the slow loading
Architecture and interiors portfolios are image-heavy, and that's where most studio sites fail. Huge photos straight from the camera can make a page take ages to load on mobile.
I handle this properly:
- Every image is resized for each screen size
- Modern formats keep files small without losing quality
- Images below the fold load only when needed
- Galleries are built to feel instant
The result is a portfolio that looks stunning and loads fast.
Easy to keep up to date
Studios finish projects all the time but rarely update their websites, because adding a project feels like a chore. I'll set up a simple way to add projects with photos and descriptions, so your portfolio stays current without calling a developer each time.
Getting found by the right clients
People search for things like "interior designer for condo Makati," "residential architect Cebu" or "restaurant interior design Manila." To show up:
- Each project and service gets its own page with a descriptive title
- Image alt text describes the space properly
- Structured data tells search engines about your business
- Your Google Business Profile is connected and complete
- Pages load fast on mobile
Features I can build
- Project portfolio with filters by type, style or location
- Project pages with large galleries and project details
- Studio, team and process pages
- Press and publication features, if you have them
- Inquiry form with project details and file uploads
- Journal or blog for design insights
- Client area for sharing drawings and updates privately
Honest presentation
Only real projects, real photos and real credentials. If a project was a collaboration, I'll help you credit it properly. Experienced clients notice when something feels inflated, and honesty is part of a professional reputation.
Common mistakes on studio websites
Too many projects, not enough curation. Showing every project you've ever done dilutes your best work. A tight selection of strong projects says more about your eye than a long list.
Instagram as the only portfolio. Social media is great for reach, but it's a feed, not a portfolio. Your website lets you tell the full story of a project, in your order, without algorithms deciding what people see.
Text on top of images. It often looks good on a desktop and unreadable on a phone. I design layouts that work at every size.
No explanation of fees or process. You don't have to publish rates, but explaining how you charge, whether by percentage, fixed fee or per square meter, helps clients understand what to expect before they call.
Slow, heavy sliders. Full-screen sliders with huge images and autoplay are the main reason studio sites feel slow. A calmer layout with properly optimized images looks more refined and loads faster.
How we'd work
- We talk about your studio, your best work and the clients you want.
- You get a quote with scope, timeline and fixed price.
- We select projects and organize photos and descriptions together.
- I design and build, sharing preview links as it comes together.
- We refine details until it feels right for your studio.
- We launch, and I show you how to add new projects.
Let's give your work the website it deserves
Tell me about your studio. I'll reply with a plan and a fixed quote.
