Clients hiring a contractor or engineering firm are making a big decision. They're trusting you with their money, their timeline and sometimes their safety. Before they call, they want proof: projects you've finished, the licenses you hold and evidence that you're a real, established company.
Many construction websites don't show that well. They're slow, outdated or just a logo, a phone number and a few blurry photos. That's a missed opportunity, because a strong website can win you better projects.
I'm Aldrian, an independent web developer in the Philippines. I build websites for contractors, builders, engineering firms and specialty trades that present your work professionally and bring in serious inquiries.
What clients look for before they call
Completed projects
Your portfolio is your strongest sales tool. Each project deserves a page with real photos, the location, the scope of work, the type of structure and, if you're comfortable sharing, the timeline. Before-and-after and progress photos are especially convincing.
Credentials and licenses
PCAB license category, permits, certifications, safety records and affiliations. B2B and government clients often check these before shortlisting.
Services and specialties
General construction, design and build, renovation, fit-out, steel works, electrical, plumbing, MEPF, civil works and project management. Clear service pages help clients see whether you fit their needs.
Company profile
Your history, your team and leadership, your equipment and your capacity. A downloadable company profile PDF is still common in the industry, and I'll make sure it's easy to find.
An easy way to request a quote
A request-for-quote form that collects the right details: project type, location, size, target timeline and budget range if they want to share it. Uploading plans or photos should be possible too.
Features I can build
- Project portfolio with filters by type and location
- Project detail pages with galleries and specifications
- Service and specialty pages
- Credentials, licenses and certifications section
- Team and leadership profiles
- Request-for-quote forms with file uploads
- Downloadable company profile
- Careers page for hiring workers and engineers
- Simple admin area to add new projects
- Cost estimate tools, clearly labeled as estimates, for renovation or fit-out work
Built for different clients
Residential clients want to see beautiful homes, understand your process and know you're trustworthy. Clear steps, real photos and quick contact options matter.
Commercial clients look for capacity, fit-out experience, timelines and professionalism.
Industrial and government clients look closely at licenses, safety, equipment and track record.
A good construction website speaks to all of them, without confusing any.
Fast, even with lots of photos
Construction sites are photo-heavy, which often makes them slow. I resize, compress and lazy-load images so your portfolio looks sharp and still loads quickly on mobile data. Clients checking your site from a project site or a car should not wait.
Being found by the right clients
People search for things like "design and build contractor Cebu" or "warehouse construction company Laguna." To show up:
- Each service and project type gets its own page
- Project pages mention the location and scope naturally
- Structured data tells search engines what your business does
- Your Google Business Profile is complete and consistent
- Pages load fast and work well on phones
Honest proof only
I won't invent project counts, years in business or client logos you haven't worked with. Real projects with real photos are far more convincing to experienced clients than inflated claims.
Easy for your team to update
New projects finish every few months. I'll set up a simple way for your team to add projects, photos and descriptions without needing a developer each time.
WordPress or custom?
For most construction firms, a clean WordPress site with a custom project portfolio works well and is easy to manage. For firms that need client portals, project tracking or internal tools, a custom build is often better. I'll recommend what fits your size and plans.
Common mistakes on construction websites
Only a gallery, no context. A grid of photos without project names, locations or scope doesn't tell a client much. A short description of each project, what you built and what challenges you solved, turns photos into proof.
Old projects only. If the newest project on your site is from years ago, clients wonder if you're still active. An easy way to add projects keeps your portfolio fresh.
Contact only by phone. Many clients research at night or on weekends. A good quote form lets them send their details anytime, and you can follow up during working hours.
Missing licenses. For many clients, your PCAB license and certifications are a requirement, not a bonus. Make them easy to find.
Unreadable on phones. Site engineers and clients often check websites on their phones. Layouts and forms must work on a small screen.
How we'd work together
- We talk about your services, projects and ideal clients.
- You get a quote with scope, timeline and fixed price.
- We gather content. Project photos, credentials and team details. I'll help organize them.
- I build and share preview links.
- We test forms and pages on phones and desktops.
- We launch, and I show your team how to add new projects.
Let's show the work you're proud of
Tell me about your company and the projects you want more of. I'll reply with a plan and a fixed quote.
