Cebu, Iloilo and Bacolod are some of the fastest-moving business centers in the country. Tourism, BPO, real estate, food and retail all compete hard for attention, and more of that competition happens online every year.
I'm Aldrian, an independent web developer in the Philippines. I work remotely with businesses across the Visayas, building websites and online systems that load fast, look professional and actually bring in inquiries.
A remote developer, not a local office
I'll be upfront: I don't have an office in Cebu IT Park or in Iloilo's business district. I work remotely with every client, including businesses abroad.
That works well for Visayas businesses for a few reasons. You don't depend on whoever happens to be nearby. We're in the same time zone, so replies come during your working day. And the whole project, from planning to launch, happens through calls, chat and live preview links you can open on any phone.
What businesses in the Visayas usually need
Tourism and hospitality websites
Resorts, hotels, dive shops, tour operators and travel agencies across Cebu, Bohol, Iloilo, Negros and the islands depend on online bookings. Many lose a big share of every booking to third-party platform commissions. A good direct booking website with clear rooms, rates and a simple inquiry or reservation flow helps you keep more of that. I cover this in detail on my hotel and resort booking website and tour operator website pages.
Real estate and property
Developers and brokers in Cebu and Iloilo need listing pages that show photos, floor plans and locations clearly, and inquiry forms that reach the right agent quickly. I build property sites that are easy to update as new units come in.
Food, cafés and restaurants
From Cebu's food scene to Bacolod's bakeries and Iloilo's restaurants, food businesses need menus that load on a phone, online ordering or reservation links and good photos. Not a PDF menu that takes a minute to download.
Professional services and BPO support companies
Firms serving international clients need websites that look as polished as their competitors abroad. That means a modern design, fast pages and clear services.
Online stores
Local brands selling pasalubong, crafts, fashion or specialty products need stores with local payment options like GCash and Maya, shipping rules that make sense and a checkout that works on mobile data.
Built for real conditions
Visitors in the Visayas, and tourists planning trips from abroad, often browse on phones with uneven signal. Your website should:
- Load quickly on mobile data, with compressed images and light code
- Make it easy to inquire or book in a few taps
- Show prices, schedules and locations clearly
- Work in English for international visitors, and in Filipino or Bisaya where it helps your customers
- Be set up properly for Google, including local search and structured data
What you can expect
- A clear plan. You'll know what's being built and what I need from you.
- A fixed quote. The price is agreed before any work starts.
- Direct contact. You talk to me, not a middleman.
- Visible progress. Live preview links as the site comes together.
- Ownership. Your domain, hosting and code stay in your name.
- Support. Help after launch when you need updates or fixes.
The process
- Tell me about your business and what you need.
- We have a short call or chat to clarify details.
- You get a written plan and a fixed quote.
- I build and share progress through preview links.
- We test everything on phones and desktops.
- I launch the site and hand over all logins.
Common problems on Visayas business websites
These are the issues I see most often when I review sites for businesses in the region.
Paying high commission on every booking. Third-party platforms are useful for being found, but if your own website makes booking hard, guests have no reason to book direct. A clear rates page and a simple form change that.
Slow galleries. Resort and food businesses rely on photos, but uncompressed images can make a page take forever on mobile data. I compress and size every image so it stays sharp and loads fast.
No balance between English and local languages. Tourists need clear English. Local customers may prefer Filipino or Bisaya. Choosing the right language for each page matters.
Contact forms that silently fail. A form that stopped sending emails months ago is a quiet leak of customers. I test every form on launch.
Outdated design. A site that looks ten years old makes people wonder if you're still open. A modern, simple design builds trust quickly.
Local agency or remote developer?
Cebu has good local agencies, and if you want in-person meetings, they may suit you. Working with a remote independent developer usually means you talk directly to the person building your site, with fewer layers and often a lower cost. Whoever you choose, ask for live examples, a written quote and full ownership of your domain and hosting.
Areas I work with
I work remotely with businesses across the Visayas, including Cebu City, Mandaue, Lapu-Lapu and Mactan, Talisay, Iloilo City, Bacolod, Dumaguete, Tagbilaran and Bohol, Tacloban, Roxas and Kalibo, Boracay and the rest of Aklan.
If you're further south, take a look at my page for Davao and Mindanao.
Real projects you can click
Below are live projects I've worked on, including a WordPress site for a software company and a hand-coded small business demo that shows how fast a clean build can be. Open them on your phone and judge for yourself.
