Search for "website package under $100" and you'll find plenty of offers. Look closer and most fall into a few groups: a template with your logo swapped in, a website builder subscription that costs more every month, a low first-month price that jumps later, or a "package" that doesn't include the domain, hosting or anything that makes a website actually work.
I'm Aldrian, an independent developer. My package is simple: a custom, hand-coded website of up to 4 pages for $99 a year, all-in. Here's exactly what that means, and who it's right for.
What's included for $99
- Up to 4 pages, hand-coded around your business
- A .com or .net domain for the first year
- Hosting for the first year on fast static hosting with a global CDN
- Mobile-friendly, responsive layout
- A working contact form that delivers inquiries to your inbox
- Basic SEO setup: titles, descriptions, sitemap and structured data
- 3 revision rounds during the build
- Delivery in 5 to 7 business days after I receive your content
Extra pages are $25 each. Content updates after launch are $10 per request.
What's not included
Being clear about scope is how the price stays this low:
- E-commerce checkout, booking systems or member logins
- Email hosting or business inbox setup
- Custom apps, dashboards or advanced features
- Self-editing. I make changes for you, so nothing breaks
- Content writing. You provide your text and images
If you need any of those, I'll quote them separately. Many clients start with the package and add features later.
Why $99 doesn't mean low quality
The usual way to make a website cheap is to cut quality: a heavy template, a pile of plugins, no testing. I cut cost differently.
Hand-written code. Only the HTML, CSS and JavaScript your site needs. No page builder framework loading in the background.
Static hosting. Your pages are served as ready-made files from a global network. That's fast for visitors and inexpensive to run, which is a big reason the price works.
Optimized from day one. Compressed images, efficient fonts and light code are part of the build, not an upsell.
No agency overhead. You work directly with me. No sales team or project manager to pay for.
The same approach powers the Lakeside Smile Studio demo in my portfolio, a hand-coded small business site built for speed and accessibility.
The four pages
Most small businesses, freelancers and startups need the same four essentials:
- Home: who you are, what you offer and how to reach you, at a glance
- About: your story, your team and why people should trust you
- Services: what you offer, explained simply
- Contact: your details and a working contact form
Need a fifth page, like a portfolio, pricing or FAQ page? Add it for $25.
Who it's perfect for
- Small businesses that need a clean, credible site without a big budget
- Startups that need a launch site while they focus on the product
- Freelancers and consultants who want a professional home for their services
- Creatives who need a simple portfolio. See portfolio websites under $100.
- Anyone leaving a builder subscription. See own your website.
Who it isn't right for
If you need an online store with checkout, a booking calendar, member logins or a site you edit yourself every day, the starter package isn't the right fit. A custom quote will serve you better, and I'll tell you honestly.
How it compares
| This package | Website builders | Budget WordPress | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cost | $99 a year, all-in | Monthly subscription | Hosting plus plugin fees |
| Design | Custom for you | Template | Theme |
| Speed | Fast, light pages | Heavier builder code | Often slowed by plugins |
| Upkeep | Handled for you | You do it | You update plugins |
How it works
- Send the request form on the $99 package page.
- I reply with a checklist and a start date.
- You send your content: text, logo and images.
- I build your site and share a preview link.
- You review, with three revision rounds.
- We launch on your domain.
Common traps with cheap website packages
"Free domain" that's in the provider's name. Make sure the domain is registered for you.
First-month pricing. A low price that jumps after the first month isn't under $100 for long.
No contact form, or one that doesn't send. I test every form before launch.
Template lock-in. Some packages only work on their platform. Leaving means starting over.
No support. With my package, updates are a flat $10 per request, and you talk to me directly.
What you need to send me
The build moves fast when your content is ready. Here's the checklist:
- Your business or personal name, and the domain you'd like
- Your logo, if you have one
- Text for each page. Notes are fine, and I'll help structure them
- A few good photos of your work, products, team or space
- Your contact details and any social links
Renewal, explained upfront
The $99 covers the build and your first year of domain and hosting. After that, there's a yearly renewal for the domain and hosting. Domain prices vary a little by extension and registrar, so I'll confirm the renewal amount with you before your first year ends. No surprise charges.
