Neighborhood drugstores and independent pharmacies are part of everyday life in the Philippines. People rely on you when a child has a fever at night, when a senior needs maintenance medicines or when someone needs advice from a pharmacist they trust. The big chains have websites and apps. You can have a clear, professional website too, without the big budget.
I'm Aldrian, an independent web developer in the Philippines. I build websites for independent pharmacies, community drugstores, medical supply stores and pharmacy groups with a few branches. A starter site begins at ₱6,000 a year, all-in, with your domain and hosting for the first year.
An important note on regulations
Selling medicines online, especially prescription medicines, is regulated in the Philippines, including rules from the Food and Drug Administration and professional standards for pharmacists. I'm a developer, not a regulatory advisor. The starter website I build is informational: it shows your services, hours, branches and contact details, and lets customers send inquiries. It doesn't sell medicines online. If you plan online ordering or delivery, please confirm the requirements with the FDA and your own advisor first, and I can then quote a compliant setup.
What pharmacy customers look for
Hours and location
Opening hours, including Sundays, holidays and late nights, a map and landmarks. This is the most visited information on any pharmacy website.
Services
Prescription filling, senior citizen and PWD discounts, blood pressure checks, vaccination services if you offer them, medical supplies and equipment, and pharmacist consultations.
Availability inquiries
A simple way to ask whether a product is available before making the trip, through a form or messaging button.
Your pharmacists
Real photos and names of your licensed pharmacists. Personal trust is your advantage over big chains.
Accessibility
Readable text and simple navigation for seniors and anyone who's unwell.
How the four-page starter fits a pharmacy

- About: your pharmacists, history and community role

Extra pages, such as a page per branch, are ₱1,500 each.

Health information, handled carefully
If you'd like to share health tips, keep them general, accurate and reviewed by your pharmacist. Avoid claims about curing conditions and avoid advertising prescription medicines. Patients should always be encouraged to consult a doctor or pharmacist for their situation.
Privacy
Inquiries may include personal or health details. I keep forms short, use HTTPS everywhere and send submissions securely to your email. Under the Data Privacy Act, show a clear privacy notice, and confirm the wording with your advisor.
Accessible for everyone
Many of your customers are seniors or are feeling unwell when they visit your site. I build with large, readable text, strong contrast, simple navigation and large buttons, tested on older phones. See accessibility.
Getting found nearby
People search "pharmacy open 24 hours near me," "drugstore open Sunday Pasig" or "pharmacy with senior discount Cebu." The basic SEO setup puts your location, hours and services into page titles and descriptions, adds structured data for your pharmacy and keeps the site fast. A complete Google Business Profile with accurate hours is essential.
Common mistakes on pharmacy websites
Wrong or missing hours. The most important detail for customers.
Advertising prescription medicines. Avoid it and follow the regulations that apply.
Small, hard-to-read text. Many customers are seniors.
No way to ask about availability. A quick inquiry saves customers a trip.
Stock photos. Show your actual store and pharmacists.
What to prepare
- Store name and logo
- Branches, addresses and hours
- Services and discounts
- Pharmacist names, photos and licenses you'd like to show
- Contact numbers and messaging links
Your community role
Independent pharmacies often know their customers by name. Show that: how long you've served the neighborhood, how your pharmacists help seniors manage maintenance medicines and any community health activities you support. That personal connection is something big chains can't copy, and your website is a good place to make it visible.
