How to use your membership

Everything you can do as a member, one step at a time. You don't need to read it all. Jump to what you need, and if you get stuck, just message me.

1. Getting started

Joining

  1. Go to the Membership page and press Join.
  2. Pay with your card or PayPal. It's $9.99 a month, and you can cancel any time.
  3. Within a few minutes you'll get an email from me with a link to your private portal.

Signing in (no password needed)

  1. Go to privacy.aldrianloyola.com, or press Member Login at the top of this website.
  2. Type the email address you used when you joined and press Email me a login link.
  3. Open the email and tap the link. You're in.

For your protection, you're signed out automatically after 4 hours without any activity. Just ask for a new link when that happens.

Put it on your phone's home screen

  • iPhone: open the portal in Safari, tap the Share button (the square with an arrow), then Add to Home Screen.
  • Android: open the portal in Chrome, tap the three dots at the top right, then Install app or Add to Home screen.

Now it opens like an app, with one tap.

2. Your home screen

When you sign in, you'll see four groups:

  • Get help: ask Alds Privacy, my AI helper, or chat with me.
  • Check something: the seven tools for stores, links, messages, products, data breaches, refunds and your privacy.
  • More ways to stay protected: the Chrome extension and the phone app that's on the way.
  • Help and your account: questions and guides, and your settings.

On a phone, the buttons along the bottom take you Home, to Tools, to the AI, to me, and to your Account.

3. Ask Alds Privacy (AI helper)

Alds Privacy is an AI assistant that answers any time, day or night. It's good for quick questions like "Is this text real?" or "How do I secure my email?"

  1. Press Ask Alds Privacy.
  2. Type your question, or tap the microphone to say it (see Voice messages).
  3. Press Send. The answer appears in a few seconds.
  4. Press Listen under any answer to hear it read out loud.

Good to know:

  • It's an AI, not a person, and it can make mistakes. For anything about money, a locked account, or something that worries you, message me.
  • If it notices something serious, it will suggest you talk to me.
  • It can point you to the right tool or step-by-step guide.

4. Voice messages

If typing on a small screen is a bother, just talk.

  1. Tap the microphone next to the message box.
  2. The first time, your phone or computer asks for permission to use the microphone. Choose Allow.
  3. Speak for up to two minutes, then tap Send voice message. Tap Cancel if you change your mind.
  4. Your words appear as a written message, and you get a reply as usual.

Voice messages work in the AI chat and in your chat with me. I delete the recording itself after 30 days; the written words stay in your conversation.

5. Chat with me

I'm a real person, and I read every message myself. Send me a screenshot, a link, a strange email, or just tell me what happened.

  1. Press Chat with Aldrian.
  2. Type or record your message. To send a picture, tap the paperclip and choose a screenshot or photo.
  3. I reply during my support hours: Daily, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM ET. The card on your home screen shows whether I'm online now or when I'll be back.

Turn on notifications (you'll see a banner the first time) and your phone will tell you when I've replied. The notification never shows what the message says, only that one arrived.

6. The seven tools

Each tool looks for warning signs and explains them in everyday words, with a short list of what I'd do next.

Check a store (Online Shop Protect)

Use it before you buy from a shop you don't know. Paste the store's web address and press Check. It looks at how new the website is, public reports about it, whether its product photos are copied from other shops, and whether there's a real way to contact them. The deeper check can take up to a minute.

Check a link (Link Check)

Use it before you tap a link from a text, email or ad. Paste the link and press Check. It follows the link safely for you, compares it to well-known brands, and checks security lists. You never have to open the link yourself.

Check a message (Message Check)

Paste a suspicious text or email, or add a screenshot of it. It points out the tricks being used, like rushing you, asking for a small fee, or pretending to be your bank, and tells you what to do.

Check a product (Scan Product)

Add a photo or link of a product and its price. It looks for fake "was" prices, knockoffs, and photos that also appear on bargain sites.

Data breach check

Type your email address to see whether it appeared in known data breaches, and which passwords to change if so.

Ask for a refund (Email Refund Helper)

Tell it what went wrong with an order. It writes a calm, clear email to the store. Press Copy, or open it straight in Gmail or Outlook, then send it yourself.

Privacy checkup

Answer a few easy questions about your accounts and settings. You get a score and a short to-do list, starting with the most important fixes.

There's a fair daily limit on each tool so the service stays fast for everyone. If you reach it, the tool tells you, and you can always message me instead.

7. Understanding results

Every result starts with a coloured label:

  • High caution: serious warning signs. I'd stop before paying, signing in or sharing anything.
  • Use caution: several things worth checking first.
  • Review: a few things worth a quick look.
  • No major warnings: nothing big came up in what was checked. That isn't a guarantee, so still pay in a way that lets you dispute a charge.

Below the label you'll see each warning sign (the most serious first), a short AI summary, and What I'd do. Results are warning signs to help you decide. They're never a promise that something is fine or harmful. Not sure what a result means? Press Ask Aldrian about this.

8. The Chrome extension (on a computer)

The extension lets you check the website you're on with one click, without copying anything.

  1. Open Chrome on your computer and add Aldrian Online Safety Check from the Chrome Web Store. You'll find the link in your portal once it's available.
  2. Pin it: click the puzzle-piece icon at the top right of Chrome, then the pin next to it.
  3. Click the Aldrian icon and press Connect to my membership. Make sure you're signed in to your portal first.

To use it, click the Aldrian icon on any website and choose Check this website or Check this store before I buy. You can also right-click any link and choose Check this link with Aldrian.

It only looks when you press a button. It doesn't read your pages or collect your browsing history, and it only sends the page's address, without anything after "?" or "#".

9. Your account

  • Read replies out loud: turn this on and every new answer is read to you automatically.
  • Bigger text: makes everything in the portal easier to read.
  • Notifications: get a heads-up on your phone when I reply.
  • Cancel your membership: go to Account, then Cancel membership. You can also use the link in your payment receipt email, or just message me. You keep access until the end of the month you've paid for. Payments aren't refundable. After that, your account and history are permanently deleted.

10. Staying safe while you ask for help

  • Never send me, or anyone, your passwords, one-time codes or full card numbers. I will never ask for them.
  • When you send a screenshot, it's fine to cover account numbers first.
  • If you're in danger or being threatened, contact your local emergency services first.

11. If something isn't working

My login email hasn't arrived

Wait two minutes, then check your Spam or Promotions folder. Make sure you typed the same email you used when you joined. Still nothing? Message me through the chat on this website.

The login link says it has expired

Each link works once and only for a short time. Go back to the portal and ask for a new one.

I was signed out

That happens after 4 hours without activity, to protect your account. Ask for a new login link.

The microphone doesn't work

Your browser may have blocked it. On iPhone go to Settings, Safari, Microphone and choose Allow. On Android or a computer, tap the lock icon next to the web address and allow the microphone.

A tool says to try again later

One of the outside services may be busy. Wait a few minutes and try again, or send me the link instead.

I'm not getting notifications

Make sure you pressed Enable on the notifications banner, and that notifications are allowed for your browser in your phone's settings. On iPhone, notifications work once the portal is added to your home screen.

Still stuck?

Message me. That's what I'm here for.
